Teen Galaxy Pour Painting
Monday, June 3rd, 3-4:30pm

Create a unique, out of this world, painting using the hot new technique called "pour painting". Canvas and paints are provided, please wear clothing you don't mind getting dirty. Limit 15.


Teen Space T-Shirts Decorating
Monday, June 10th, 3-4:30pm

Come and design a Space Themed T- shirt! You bring a T-Shirt, we'll bring the decorations. Limit 20.


"The Space Between Us" Teen Movie Night
Wednesday, June 12th, 5:30-7:30pm

Join us for a screening of "The Space Between Us" on our big screen projector and make some galaxy popcorn. No Limit.


Teen Space Slime
Monday, June 17th, 3-4:30pm

Come make some SPACE SLIME with us! Add glitter to make it sparkle and shine just like the stars! Limit 20.


Teen Planet Pillows
Monday, June 24th, 3-4:30pm 

Join us as we sew Planet Pillows on the sewing machines. All supplies provided. Limit 10.


Teen Starry Night Sidewalk Art
Wednesday, June 26th, 6-7:30pm

Bring out your artistic side and decorate our sidewalks with sidewalk chalk. Limit 20.


Teen Space Crafts
Monday, July 8th, 3-4:30pm

Create something out of this world in Teen Space Crafts. You can make a rocket ship out of melty beads or something fun with duct tape. Limit 20.


Teen Cosmic Bath Bombs
Wednesday, July 10th, 6-7:30pm

Learn how to make Bath Bombs and create some to take home. Limit 20.


Teen Galaxy Bracelets
Monday, July 15th, 3-4:30pm

Learn how to make your own waxed cord bracelets and decorate them with trinkets. Limit 20.


Teen Astrology 101 & Henna
Monday, July 22nd, 3-4:30pm

Learn the basics of Astrology and then use Henna to draw it on your skin! Limit 20.


Teen Gaming Night
Wednesday, July 24th, 6-7:30pm

Join us as we play videogames on the big screen projector. Limit 20.


Safe Start Violence Prevention Program

Tuesdays, 1:00-2:00pm

June 25th to August 13th

Safe Start is a free violence prevention program for teens that is designed to help students improve in the areas of emotional accountability, identifying abusive behavioral patterns, and thinking critically about consequences. Each week will cover a new topic.

June 25: Identifying Violent Thoughts & Behaviors
July 2: Strategizing Emotional Accountability
July 9: Responding to Conflict
July 16: Rising Above Cultural Norms that Promote Violence
July 23: Creating Boundaries
July 30: Avoiding Digital Violence
August 6: Deflecting Gangs and Human Traffickers
August 13: Advocating for Self and Others and Being Resourceful

The program will meet every Tuesday between June 25 and August 13 at 1:00pm and is open to teens entering grades 7 through 12.

The program is provided by the Crisis Center for South Suburbia.

You can register for the program at the Youth Services Desk (in person or over the phone). Registration is not required. No limit.
