1,000 Books Before Kindergarten

1,000 Books Before Kingdergarten is a nationwide reading program that encourages families and caregivers to read at least 1,000 books with thier child before they enter Kindergarten.

How it works:

1. Pick up a reading log from our library or print it from our website (below)
2. For every book you read your child, color in a circle on the reading log
3. Once the reading log is full (one reading log = 100 books), bring it back to the library for your reward and to get a new reading log
   1. For every 100 books read, your child can pick out a prize from our Treasure Chest
   2. At 500 books read, your child will get a small prize
   3. At 1,000 books read, your child will get a book, a small prize, and entered into a quarterly giveaway
