Spring Break is April 1 to April 5 and we have a ton of great activities for you and your kids to enjoy!

  • Monday, April 1 @ 10:30am: Bring your preschooler to the libary and Let’s Get Messy with sensory play areas
  • Tuesday, April 2 @ 10am: Make a fun craft perfect for little hands (and a little parental help) at PreK Craft
  • Tuesday, April 3 @ 6pm: It’s family night at the library – young children will enjoy a nice family-friendly activity at Fun with the Fam!
  • Wednesday, April 4 @ 6pm: We’re learning all about why this year’s Cicada emergence is so special at Cicada Celebration
  • Thursday, April 5 @ 11am: Learn all about these friendly nocturnal creatures at Going Batty!
  • Thursday & Friday, April 5 & 6 @ 10am: Let the littles play while the grown-ups can chat and have coffee at PreK Playdate
  • Friday, April 5 @ 11am: We’re experimenting with plants at this fun hands-on Green Science program (registration required)
  • Friday, April 5 @ 3pm: Come and play video games with us in our study room at Drop-in Video Games
  • Friday, April 5 @ 4pm: It’s Anime Club Movie Night – we’re watching a live action film for one of the greatest soul reaping series!
  • All Month Long: Scavenger Hunt
  • All Month Long: Spring Reading Challenge

We’re near the path of totality for the April 8, 2024 Solar Eclipse & the library wants you to celebrate with us!

  • April 1 – April 6: Pick up a pair of FREE solar eclipse glasses (while supplies last) at the Youth or Adult Desk so you can safely view the solar eclipse on Monday, April 8.
  • April 8 @ 1:45pm: Come and watch the live stream of the totality & see how dark it gets here in Richton Park, IL! We’ll have glasses so you can view it safely!
  • April 8, All Day: Kids can join us in Youth Services to make a Solar Eclipse Craft!
